Niagara Cottage was built on the Niagara Parkway in 1871. In the 1960’s, it moved to its current location, 156 Mary St. Rain, snow, or shine, this beautiful example of Regency Era architecture always offers a cozy retreat from the rush and clamor of daily life.
Most of the furniture was built by Master Carpenter Frank Rekrut, who now runs a studio in Florence, Italy. The fireplaces in the cottage are from two separate plays that were put on by the Shaw Festival Theater, a center of art and community in Niagara-on-the-Lake for more than 50 years.
We welcome you to stay with us and enjoy the comforts of home while also partaking of the exciting local scene. The cottage is less than a 10-minute walk to the Niagara-on-the-Lake town center, 10 minutes from Niagara Falls, conveniently close to Lake Ontario and the Niagara River, and right in the middle of Ontario Wine Country.

Our Guests Say . . .
A great place! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Maria was really helpful when we arrived to get us settled.
Very neat place to stay. It beats a lot of the big chain hotels in Niagara On The Lake. Coordination was seamless for check-in and check-out. Extremely clean. Very satisfied and would definitely stay there again.
Chris was an amazing host. The moment we got there, she had a thorough introduction to the place, told us where to get our refreshments, where the keys are, where to go around Niagara-on-the-lake etc. She has complete trust for her guests and made sure they feel really comfortable at the place. The place is less than 5 minutes away from the town area of NOTL, the room was wonderful, safe, quiet, warm and cozy. The bed was definitely one of the highlights of the place, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!
